Khalid is a young Middle Eastern working professional who migrated with his family to London as a child. Having graduated, he now works in finance. He is restless and constantly on the move, struggling to manage colliding cultures, family tradition, and upholding his religious values. Khalid sets his family above all else, and constantly worries about not being good enough for them.

If you are a creative/performer/theatre maker/actor and have a passion for movement led training, then we invite you to participate in our workshop.
For the research project entitled ‘Performance research’ for the MA/MFA Movement: Directing and teaching course at Royal Central, we are researching; 'How can preparation and movement frameworks facilitate consent based practice in actor training’. Therefore, we are gathering information through this workshop.
The workshop will be a 90 minute led session, facilitated by three movement practioners (Chander van Daatselaar, Laura Game, Lyra MacKenzie). The workshop will comprise of an exploration of movement based practices around contact improvisation.
The workshop is part of a research project and will be filmed as part of gathering research material. We will provide an area in the studio where you will not be filmed but you may still participate and/or observe.
We will hand you a form after the workshop with a few questions, we kindly ask you to fill it in.
Only participants ages 21+ can participate in this workshop.

OPPORTUNITY Connecting Threads Berwick Bridge Residency Connecting Threads is working with the organising committee of Berwick Bridge 400 to run an artist residency to coincide with the 400-year anniversary of the opening of Berwick Bridge.
