We are specifically looking for 2 emerging musical directors (good pianists with a knowledge of musicals repertoire) and 1/2 emerging choreographers (with a knowledge of musicals or hiphop/contemporary movement).  You will join a team of experienced directors/MDs/Choreographers to work in one of three cities - Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam for a 3 week course.  This is a paid role and would suit experienced practitioners or mature creatives in training. We want to be able to work in the rehearsal room bilingually in creative ways. These are the last roles to fill, we already have 4 UK/Arabic speaking creatives on the team.  Chris Grady.Org Development Ltd (CGO) is working with Major Entertainment in Jeddah for the Theatre and Performing Arts Commission in the Ministry of Culture.

  • Heading to the Edinburgh Fringe? Catch ‘A Wee Journey!’

- A Wee Journey invites audiences to embark on a choreographed musical journey, fusing dance, music and performance to explore belonging, connection, community and home. Combining live music and composition by Turkish musician Oğuz Kaplangi, choreography by Palestinian artist Farah Saleh and movement from an ensemble of performers, A Wee Journey is a collaborative piece that centres on compassion and empathy to share the lived experiences of the artists and their relationship to migration. Reflecting on a world where constant movement across borders means that anyone can become a migrant, this piece celebrates diversity and reflects on the experiences of many people living in Scotland and around the world.

Our position on endorsements.

Our main areas of work are to help connect the creative industries with UK MENA+ talent, so we will always share castings, job opportunities, or marketing information. We will track these projects in the hope that they are a great example of how MENA+ talent is used. But by sharing this information, this should not be seen as an endorsement of the project.

We will call out work that is appropriating a MENA+ narrative and does not have MENA+ talent at the heart of the creative process; and we will always champion, front and centre, work that is made for and by MENA+ talent.
