biography:
Elif Knight is an award-winning actress, receiving the Patricia Rothermere/Evening Standard Theatre Award, awarded by Sir Richard Attenborough when she was 17.
Elif is Turkish Kurdish and was born in Anatolia (same place as one her favourite directors, Elia Kazan- Streetcar Named Desire, On The Waterfront) and moved to London at the age of three. Elif has been acting for 20 years & directing for the last 5 years.
Her first acting job was playing the daughter of a drug addict at her local Turkish community centre theatre when she was 9 years old – a pretty intense start!
Elif is still a student and an assistant of acting teacher Jack Waltzer from ‘The Actors Studio’ .
Elif has recently directed and co produced a sold out run of a socially distanced comedy in Lauderdale House
